Ilkka Nieminen

Ilkka Nieminen’s search activities focus on Top Management with a concentration in General Management and Financial Management. Ilkka is recognized as a top search consultant in Finland for over 20 years by global industry reviews.

He started his Executive Search career leading a Finnish search firm in the late 1980’s. Prior to establishing his own private search company, Ilkka worked as Senior Partner with Transearch Finland for almost 10 years.

Ilkka’s earlier experience include Director positions with one of Finland’s global groups, Kemira Oyj. Before that Ilkka worked both as Trade Commissioner with the Embassy of Finland in Oslo, Norway, as well as other interntional business development roles.

He holds a joint MBA from Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration and NYU Stern School of Business and a BBA from Florida State University (as a faculty scholar). His postgraduate education includes a Diploma in International Management 17/2 from Fintra and the National Defence Course #166 from National War College.

Ilkka was a founding member of the Finnish Association of Executive Search Firms in 1988. He is a member of the Helsinki Stock Exchange Club as well as a member of the American Marketing Association. He also holds various board memberships.

Ilkka speaks Finnish, English, Swedish, German, and basic Spanish.
